This policy describes how we process personal data in the MonthlyFocus app and on our website. It replaces earlier statements about the website not using cookies.
2. Data processed in the app
Depending on how you sign in and use MonthlyFocus, we process account identifiers such as email address, display name and authentication provider identifier; habit and progress records; referral information; subscription status and purchase verification data; notification preferences; support communications; and technical identifiers required for authentication, security, synchronization and reliable operation.
We use this information to create and secure accounts, synchronize progress, provide app features, verify subscriptions, operate referrals, send requested reminders, provide support, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations and improve the service. The legal bases are performance of our contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in security and service improvement, and consent where required.
3. Website data and cookies
The website uses cookies and similar technologies. Necessary cookies are used for language selection, security and storage of consent choices. Privacy-friendly statistics help us understand aggregate website usage. Optional marketing cookies may be used to measure advertising campaigns and attribution. Statistics and marketing technologies are activated only after you opt in through the consent banner. You can reject optional cookies or change your selection at any time through the “Manage consent” control.

4. Service providers and sharing
We use service providers only as needed to operate MonthlyFocus, including Firebase/Google Cloud for authentication, database and backend services; Apple and Google for sign-in, app distribution, subscriptions and purchase verification; hosting and website infrastructure providers; and Burst Statistics and Complianz for website analytics and consent management. We do not sell personal data. Advertising providers receive website data only when the relevant marketing technology is configured and you have consented.
5. International transfers and security
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers rely on an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Retention
Account and app data are kept while your account is active and for the period needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet legal duties. Deleted-account data is removed or anonymized subject to backups, fraud prevention and statutory retention. Consent choices are generally retained for up to 365 days. Support and accounting records may be retained for legally required periods.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may delete your account in the app and may lodge a complaint with the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection or your local supervisory authority.
8. Changes
We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain published on this page.
